Welcome
Welcome to the Chintimini Kennel Club's Web Site! Chintimini KC has been an active member of the Corvallis Oregon community and celebrated its 50th Anniversery in 2006.
Mission and Goals
Dogs have been part of human society for millennia. In modern culture dogs play a role well beyond the original task breeds were developed to perform. Foremost, dogs provide companionship and play critical roles in enriching people’s lives. Chintimini Kennel Club is a Member Club of and supports the Mission of American Kennel Club:
- The American Kennel Club is dedicated to upholding the integrity of it's Registry, promoting the sport of purebred dogs and breeding for type and function. The AKC® and its affiliated organizations advocate for the purebred dog as a family companion, advance canine health and well-being, work to protect the rights of all dog owners and promote responsible dog ownership.
The goals of the Chintimini Kennel Club are specifically: 1) to promote and maintain the conformation, form and functionality to perform the tasks for which dog breeds were developed; and 2) to encourage and facilitate responsible dog ownership for all dogs.
Chintimini KC sponsors an annual dog show, including Obedience and Rally Obedience Trials. We are now an AKC Lure Coursing Club and will be holding coursing events as well. While these events are for purebred dogs, Chintimini KC also sponsors Canine Good Citizenship Tests for all dogs.
We invite those who share our love and respect for all dogs to participate in our events and consider joining Chintimini Kennel Club
Club Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Carriage House, Benton County Fairgrounds (on 53rd Street, Corvallis, Oregon).
