Mission and Goals

Dogs have been part of human society for millennia.  In modern culture dogs play a role well beyond the original task breeds were developed to perform.  Foremost, dogs provide companionship and play critical roles in enriching people’s lives.  Chintimini Kennel Club is a Member Club of and supports the Mission of the American Kennel Club:

The goals of the Chintimini Kennel Club are specifically: 1) to promote and maintain the conformation, form and functionality to perform the tasks for which dog breeds were developed; and 2) to encourage and facilitate responsible dog ownership for all dogs.

Chintimini KC sponsors an annual dog show, including Obedience and Rally Trials. We are an AKC Lure Coursing Club and hold coursing events as well. Conformation and Lure Coursing Trials are for purebred dogs. Obediance, Rally, and Lure Coursing Ability Test events are open to all dogs, both purebred or not, that are listed with AKC.

We invite those who share our love and respect for all dogs to participate in our events and consider joining Chintimini Kennel Club.

Club Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Red Carriage House, Benton County Fairgrounds, 110 SW 53rd St Corvallis 97333.
